Denver Broncos Draft Picks Impress in Preseason Debut

Bo Nix Leads Rookie Class with Impressive Performance

Broncos select standout rookies in 2024 NFL Draft

Denver Broncos fans were treated to a glimpse of the team's future on Friday night as the team's rookie class took center stage in a preseason matchup against the Indianapolis Colts. Among the standout performers was quarterback Bo Nix, who showcased his versatility and leadership skills.

Nix, a third-round draft pick, entered the game in the second quarter and immediately made his presence felt. He completed 4-of-6 passes for 52 yards and one touchdown, while also rushing for 34 yards on seven carries, including a 20-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.

Nix's athleticism and ability to extend plays impressed Broncos head coach Nathaniel Hackett. "Bo is a special player," Hackett said. "He can do it all. He's a great runner, he can make all the throws, and he's a winner."

Other rookies who made a positive impact in the game include defensive end Nolan Smith, who recorded three tackles and a sack, and wide receiver Jalen Virgil, who caught two passes for 31 yards and a touchdown.

The Broncos' rookie class is expected to play a significant role in the team's success in the coming years. With Nix leading the way, the Broncos' future looks bright.
